I was inspired by LadyBug Teaching Files to create a bin for new students. My district is not overly transient or dynamic, so we don’t have too many changes in our roster from start to finish. However, occasionally my name will get drawn in that new-student lottery. I always try to keep extra books, planners, nametags, and basic supplies handy “just in case”. I fell in love with the simple idea of filling a crate with the necessities so that if my name gets pulled, I am prepared to welcome newbies to the classroom! It just seems better than filing it all away in a cabinet with a bunch of other supplies that just might get in my way if I ever need to quickly access the materials. So, with that said, feel free to grab the sign I made for my new student bin. I created one to go with my classroom theme and color scheme. If you prefer, you can also grab a different style at Ladybug Teaching Files!
